Workshop floor planner

Set your bay size, then paint the floor into zones — welding, grinding, standing and walkways. You'll get a matting spec by area to work from and send us. It's a planning aid, not a quote.

Grid cells are 0.5 m. Max 12 × 12 m — split bigger areas into sections.

Click or tap cells to paint the selected zone; drag to fill an area. With a keyboard: focus a cell, use the arrow keys to move, and press Enter to paint.

How to use the planner

  1. Set the bay length and width and create the grid (each cell is 0.5 m).
  2. Pick a zone and paint the floor — welding and cutting where sparks land, grinding where the spray is widest, standing at benches, walkways for routes.
  3. The spec panel totals each zone's area and suggests the matting that usually fits it.
  4. Copy the spec, print it, or send it straight to an enquiry pre-filled with your plan.

The planner sizes areas and zones. To turn an area into a tile or mat count, use thewelding bay matting calculator, and to scope how far to protect around a process, try thespark spray & coverage helper. For grade and fire classification, always confirm with us.
